Minoxidil was and still is a major success because it gained FDA approval, which shows that it’s a real legitimate product. For years people have been using minoxidil to improve the blood flow in their scalp and begin to regrow hair at the crown of their head. Minoxidil does not work in all areas of the scalp, but where it does work, it does a great job.

Several years after discovering and marketing minoxidil, Rogaine lost their patent and other pharmaceutical companies were able to begin to market it right along side Rogaine. This is not great news for Rogaine, but it’s a great thing for everyone losing their hair.
